Never be afraid to own your strength!
A lot of female clients I see, struggle identifying themselves as being strong, some have been suppressed in their relationships and career. In other words they have held themselves back from living a better life eg, securing that perfect job or letting go of a relationship.
With the rise of time spent on social media, there is constant pressure for women to compare themselves to other people.
I find to help women become mentally strong, they need to look at their core beliefs. Many have been living by an outdated belief system, usually from childhood.
It is time to create a set of core beliefs that will guide you in your decisions and habits.
These are beliefs to live by:
Your strength can be viewed as a weakness
Many people think that being too emotional, kind or showing vulnerability isn’t good, especially at work.
It is important to never think as a woman, you have to prove your inner strength to anyone. By showing the real you, is strength in itself, be confident in being yourself.
Your self-worth is nobody else’s business
Often as a sensitive woman we feel rejection and criticism strongly and feel like we aren’t good enough.
Never allow someone else’s opinion to affect your self-worth, or get caught up in toxic self blame. Allow others’ opinions of you to bounce off you and never let it get you down.
It is ok to stand out from the crowd
As women we can be used to downplaying our achievements or when given a compliment say “Oh it’s nothing really”
Own your strengths and achievements, it doesn’t mean you are arrogant (other people’s opinions) Be comfortable at standing out from others.
Keep working at being strong
Most women think that they are already strong, but staying strong is like working out muscles at the gym.
Constantly work at giving up bad habits and develop your inner strengths to reach the best version of yourself.
Own your strength inside and out
Many strong women are great mentally, but lack confidence in other areas, such as body image issues, or feeling insecure.
If you feel as though you are lacking in strength in certain areas, never be afraid to ask for help.
Never be afraid to own your strength!
