Many people who are feeling suicidal, may never make an attempt to take their own life. They just don’t know how to move forward and feel happier? These suicidal thoughts may consume their thoughts and may well be a result of conditions like depression, hopelessness, panic attacks or anxiety.

Are you experiencing any of these:

• Feelings of worthlessness and you have no reason to live?
• Withdraws from life, friends and people you love?
• Engages in risky behaviour without any caution.
• Talks or writes about your own death?
• Threatens to hurt or kill yourself?
• Has obsessive thoughts about how to kill yourself?

Psychosocial therapies have been shown to significantly reduce suicidal thoughts and behaviours. Randomized  controlled trails indicate that different types of behavioural therapy have shown effectiveness in certain groups of  people.

For instance, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and the Collaborative Approach to Management of  Suicidality (CAMS) have shown good outcomes in adults , including military personnel. Group, family, and  mentalisation-based therapies have shown benefits for adolescents.
