Do you remember that first kiss, that moment when you felt like you were in love with someone else?
❤ The butterflies in the stomach
❤ Can’t stop smiling all the time
❤ Nothing annoys or bothers you
❤ The world is a happy place
Why because we love someone else, or maybe it is the feeling that someone loves us?
Then why don’t we feel this way every day because we love ourselves first?
OH NO, I CAN HEAR MY MUM SPEAKING NOW (from the grave mind you!) “look at that person they LOVE themselves” “Look at loud woman, that is so un lady like”
I was taught at an early age, that is wrong to love and put yourself first.
This was for people:
❌ With huge egos
❌ Who are too over the top confident
❌ Who are too cocky
❌ Who are braggers
❌ Who want to be seen
So little Jayne grows up, with a negative start, being a female to start with, taught to:
👉 Be a lady at all times
👉 Don’t laugh loudly
👉 Don’t speak unless spoken to
👉 The man rules the house
👉 Never stand out in a crowd by what you wear, or what you say
👉 Never put yourself first
AND CERTAINLY DON’T LOVE YOURSELF!
So I can tell you by the time I was an adult, I had a pretty low self esteem and definitely didn’t dare love myself!
But what I worked out (around my 40’s, (ok so I was a late bloomer haha) is that constantly putting others needs before your own, you are not living your best life.
REPEAT AFTER ME, IT IS OK TO LOVE YOURSELF!
✅ Start small and stop thinking about yourself negatively.
✅ Change your faulty beliefs – usually from your parents
✅ Look in the mirror – morning and evening and love who you see staring back at you
✅ Start small putting yourself first and doing what make you happy
✅ Self love is NOT selfishness
Bear in mind that the way you treat yourself is how you will be treated by others.
When you love yourself, you feel confident, attractive and you attract only amazing people and experiences.
Self love make you a happy and successful person.
Try it for yourself ❤
