Why do so many people feel the need for control in all areas of their life?

When we want things to go the best they can, is perfectly ok, although the need for perfection and control of a situation can cause a massive barrier in our lives.

Could you let go and put faith and trust that it will all work out in your favour?
Could you let go of the need to micromanage everything and everyone and know others will sort things out?
Could you step back and be ok, when all is not going exactly how you want it?

If the answer is no, then you need to learn how to let go and be more easy going. This will change absolutely everything and life will become SO much better, in every way.

Where does you need to control come from?
Life is full of unexpected stuff, positive as well as negative.

Taking control of a situation is making you feel strong and powerful and can also be a way of protecting yourself from pain.

Often at times when we lack self-confidence and self-esteem, we feel the need for perfectionism.
We desperately need to direct everything, we don’t want anything to go wrong, but we also may be afraid of letting others down.

What can this do to us?
When we are trying to control everything, we lose the essence of who we really are!

If we control issues too much, if it doesn’t work out EXACTLY as we want we can suffer from problems with depression, anxiety and overwhelm.

The first step is to learn to relax. – If things aren’t going your way, trust that possibly this is showing you that possibly there is a better way or solution to the matter.

The second step is learning that others may not do things in exactly the way you do this is ok to step back and allow them to help you, without taking over. Nothing in life is ever perfect and so what if they make mistakes and you can do it better. It doesn’t matter.

By learning to let go, watch how stress free you begin to feel and that everything always works out anyway, without feeling the need to take control ALL the time.
