Are there times in your life where you think “I feel inadequate/worthless/inferior?

Are there times in your life where you think “I feel inadequate/worthless/inferior?

Are there times in your life where you think “I feel inadequate/worthless/inferior” or you just don’t feel good enough.

These feelings can be challenging and emotionally painful. You are not alone in feeling this way,

Often in therapy sessions I hear clients share their experiences of not feeling good enough. Whether it is their daily roles, in work, reaching their goals or connecting to others.

Sometimes we do not have a clear image of who we are. This can be based on trauma or negative experiences from our past which has led us to having a low self-worth.

These inner thoughts are our own inner critic, that feels like our enemy. But in reality, your inner critic is trying to protect you. Looking out for you and is afraid for your survival.

When it is telling you that you are not good enough, it is usually trying to motivate you so that you can survive. But the reality of this is we feel worse.

If it continues it can to isolation, depression, anxiety, addiction, insomnia, eating disorders and relationship issues.

When you feel this way, take the time to acknowledge this part of you and get to understand where this is coming from.

Ask yourself:
“What are you afraid of”
“What do you want/need/long for”

Usually this is comes from a feeling for acceptance or security.

Take the time to understand YOU and to heal.

There is always help if you need it ❤
